Over 60 people attended Greater Sydney Landcare Networkโ€™s (GSLN) seminar, dedicated to Science and Landscape Restoration, held atย theย Australianย Botanic Garden, Mt Annan.

Our speakers are at the forefront of conservationย science under climate change – combining research and practice that can inform landscape restoration.
  • Professor Lesley Hughes – Distinguished Professor, Macq University, Climate Change Ecology Group
  • Dr. Peter Cuneo – Seedbank & Restoration Researchย Mt Annan Botanic Gardens
  • Dr. Cathy Offord, Principal Research Scientist.ย Mt Annan Botanic Gardens
  • Dr Maurizio Rossetto, Principal Research Scientist,ย Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

Aย talk on Climate Change and the implication this will have on ecological restoration projects in the future set up the second talk on understanding the genetic make up of plant species and their aptitude for change. These were very well received by the audience of land managers and others, although offering a stark vision of what could be expected as climate change progresses.

GSLN thanks all of those people that were in attendance and to the speakers on the day. We would also like to thank theย Australianย Botanic Garden, Mt Annan for hosting the event.
